Book Babes: 5 Books I Couldn’t Put Down!
CALLING ALL BOOK BABES (Individuals obsessed with finding a good read!)
My new obsession as of lately is READING! Nothing feels better than to go lay out in the sun in the summer and grab a book! I have been making time each day to pick up a book and read for at least 30 minutes and it’s become something that I thoroughly enjoy and I would much rather pick up a book than turn on the TV these days. Because of this, I am starting a series here on my blog for anyone who has a love for books like I do!
Today’s post is all about books that I couldn’t put down! These are books I recommend to all my friends and family and I highly recommend you read each of these at least once sometime in your life!
The Automatic Millionaire By: David Bach
PERSONAL FINANCE
Every single person should read this book to learn more about finances and how to successfully save money and grow your savings in the EASIEST way! There are so many interesting facts mentioned in the book and it discusses so many different topics. There is a section on Real Estate, 401K plans, savings accounts, and much more. This changed my whole perception on money and just how easy it is to automatically save money and over time you will have built up such a great savings that your future-self will thank you! The main point in the book is to make everything “automatic”. Just automatically have 20% of your paycheck go straight to your savings account and don’t touch that money unless it’s an emergency or something you’re saving up for. Overall, it’s a book that is so informative and can apply to every single person who hopes to be financially stable for the rest of their life.
The Ghost Writer By: Alessandra Torre
Psychological Thriller
This might honestly be the best book I’ve ever read. I was on the edge of my seat the entire time reading it and it kept you guessing the entire book! I read this one in a day or two and was so sad when it was over because I didn’t want it to end it was THAT GOOD. If you’re into mystery/thriller novels, I highly recommend this one. You feel every single emotion possible and I love the mystery aspect of it where you’re constantly wondering how it’s going to end and what exactly happened to the main character throughout the whole novel. So many plot twists throughout making this a 10/10 book for me!
The Couple Next Door By: Shari Lapena
Psychologic Thriller / Mystery
This book it’s a great mystery that leaves you guessing throughout the whole book. You are constantly learning new information about the characters and the most interesting scenarios arise. I felt so many emotions during this book and literally could not put this book down because I just wanted to know what happened! Definitely an edge-of-your-seat type book that you never want to put down!
One For The Money By: Janet Evanovich
Mystery / Suspense
This is the first book of a HUGE series by Janet Evanovich and it’s such a fun series to read! I’ve only read the first three books in the series but the books literally make you laugh out loud and are suspenseful at the same time. They are super quick reads and very enjoyable. I highly suggest checking out the series!
The Tattooist Of Auschwitz By: Heather Morris
Biographical Historical Fiction
Last but DEFINITELY not least! This book is not a book I would typically pick up off the shelf at the bookstore to purchase or check out at the library. I’m not typically into “historical” books but this book was AMAZING and I am so happy that I picked this book up and gave it a shot. It portrays the experience a man had at Auschwitz and tells his story of his time there and everything he went through. There’s a romance aspect to it as well as a really sorrow aspect and you’re constantly wondering if he will ever have a normal life again. I highly recommend this book to just about anyone who wants to hear about the hardship and events that happened at that concentration camp.
If you guys have made it this far, CONGRATS! I wanted to mention an app that I am constantly using to find new books and keep track of all the books I’ve read called Goodreads! If you use this app or want to check out my profile to see what I have read or whats on my “Want To Read” list then click here! Add me as a friend so I can see what you’re reading too!
If these Book Babes series are a hit on my blog, I would LOVE to start a book group where we can all share books we’re loving and can read some of the same ones and talk about them! I love finding new authors and books that aren’t super well known but are AMAZING novels! Please comment below if you’re interested because I would love to grow this community and that seems like a great start!
Happy Reading! Let me know if you read any of the books mentioned in this post and what you think about them!
XOXO,
Lauren
