Who doesn’t want a good looking tan all year long?! Living in Washington I RARELY get to see any sunshine! We get about 2-3 months of it if we’re lucky and most of the the other time it’s raining or cloudy! Obviously I wish I lived in a place where there was sunshine ALL the time but for now I have to settle for fake tanning to get my body looking bronze. There’s something about bronzed skin that completes a look and makes you feel put together. Not to mention I feel like my body looks way better with a tan! I have tried tanning beds and spray tans and have found that the tanning beds are HORRIBLE for my skin and the spray tans don’t always turn out the best! I also don’t like paying for a tanning membership every month when I may not get much use out of it. SOOO that leads me to my fake bake routine! I was super nervous to try out self tanner at first because I didn’t know what was going to happen after a few hours! I could either look beautifully bronzed and sun kissed or I could look like an oompa loompa…. and surprisingly it turned out good! I still needed to practice a bit around the areas that are hard to blend but it didn’t turn out horrible! To be honest, most days my hair is up in a ponytail or messy bun! But when I do actually take the time to do my hair, I use the following things shown below! I typically wash my hair 2-3 times a week and always blow dry it after I shower. I use different hair products each time (just depending on how I feel and what shampoo/conditioner I have in my shower at the time) but everything shown below are some of my favorite hair products! I will update this post as I switch out my hair products and find new ones that I love! Hair Tools: I have used this hair straightener for FOREVER and I love it! My hair is very frizzy and thick and this gets the job done! It makes my hair so smooth and straightens it and gets rid of the frizz so easily. I turn it to the highest setting of 450 degrees and this is something I could not live without I got this curling wand YEARS ago and it still works perfectly! I love finding products that I LOVE and that actually last a long time! I can’t find the exact set that I have but it is pretty much two different size barrels that both attach onto the wand (this only comes with one barrel but other than that, it is the EXACT same)! These are my current makeup favorites that I use on a regular basis and I can always rely on whether I am going for an all glam look for a night out or a natural conservative look when heading to the office! Typically, I stick to these exact products for my makeup routine. I typically look for affordable makeup and stick to mostly drugstore but occasionally treat myself to some high-end makeup at Sephora (like the GlamGlow moisturizer)! For Christmas I got the GlamGlow Glowstarter moisturizer and I cannot stop using it! It moisturizes my skin (which I need in the winter BADLY) and adds such a nice glow. I use this at night after I’ve done my skincare routine and I also use it as a “primer” before I put on my foundation and it makes my makeup go on so much smoother and makes my face stay much more moisturized throughout the busy workday. It’s a pricey product but definitely worth the money for sure and I will definitely repurchase this once it’s gone! The Makeup Revolution brand is new to me and I have tried out a couple of their products and have actually really enjoyed them! I bought the foundation and concealer at Ulta and absolutely LOVE them and use them pretty much everyday!!
